Grounds

All grounds currently used by the London Legal League are detailed below. For maps of the grounds just click on the ground name and then use the "back" button on your browser to return to our website.

Battersea Park (Astroturf). Carriage Drive, Battersea, SW11 4ED. Nearest Station: Battersea Park (Network Rail, 5 minutes from London Victoria, 10 minutes walk to ground).

Drapers Field, Leyton (Astroturf).  Drapers Field Sports Ground, Temple Mills Lane, off Leyton High Road, Leyton, E15 2DD. Tel: 020 8496 2601. Nearest stations: Leyton (Underground, Central Line, 10 minutes walk to ground) or Maryland (Network Rail, 8 minutes from Liverpool Street, 20 minutes walk to ground). Changing rooms are off Temple Mills Lane.

Mile End Stadium (Astroturf).  Rhodeswell Road, Mile End, E3 4SE. Tel: 020 8709 4420. Nearest stations: Mile End (Underground, District, Central and Hammersmith & City Lines, 10 minutes walk to ground) or Limehouse (Network Rail, 4 minutes from London Fenchurch Street, 15 minute walk to ground).

North Greenwich (3G Astroturf), David Beckham Academy, East Parkside, Greenwich Peninsula, Greenwich, London, SE10 0JF. Nearest Station (North Greenwich, Underground, Jubilee Line, 5 minutes walk to ground). 

Walthamstow - Douglas Eyre Sports Centre (Astroturf).  148 Coppermill Lane, Walthamstow, E17 7HE. Tel: 020 8520 4918. Nearest stations: St James Street (Network Rail, 20 minutes from London Liverpool Street, 10 minute walk to ground) and Blackhore Road (Underground, Victoria Line, 15 minutes walk to ground).

Wapping - John Orwell Sports Centre (Astroturf). Tench Street, Wapping, E1W 2QD. Tel: 020 7488 9421. Nearest stations: Wapping (Note that from January 2008 until 2010, Wapping Station will be closed due to the East London Line Extension), Shadwell (Docklands Light Railway or East London Line, 10 minutes walk to ground) or Tower Hill (Underground, District or Circle Line or Docklands Light Railway, 15 minutes walk to ground).

The following grounds are not currently used by the London Legal League, but are used on occasions by its clubs.

HSBC Beckenham (Astroturf). HSBC (Midland Bank), Lennard Road, New Beckenham. Tel: 020 8919 4366. Nearest Station: New Beckenham (Network Rail, 20 minutes from London Bridge, 2 minutes walk to ground).

Kent County Cricket Club (Astroturf), Lower Sydenham, (formerly Lloyds Bank), Worsley Bridge Road, Lower Sydenham, BR3 1RL. Nearest Station: Lower Sydenham (Network Rail, 18 minutes from London Bridge, 10 minutes walk to ground). Note: Ground entrance is off Worsley Bridge Road, opposite Stumps Hill Lane.

Kennington Oval. Kennington, London, SE5 0RZ. Camberwell New Road. Nearest station: Oval (Underground, Northern Line), 2 minutes walk. Nearest parking is on Cranmer Road. Contact number: 020 7926 6212 (Lambeth Council Sport and Recreation).               

Paddington Recreation Ground. Randolph Avenue, Maida Vale, W9 1PF. Nearest station: Maida Vale (Underground, Bakerloo Line), 5 minutes walk. Contact number: 020 7641 3640.

Market Road, Islington. N7 9PL. Nearest Station: Caledonian Road (Underground, Piccadilly Line), 5 minutes walk. Contact number: 020 7527 4971 (Islington Council Sport and Recreation).

Acton (Astroturf), Boddington Gardens, off Carbery Avenue, Acton, W3 9AD. Nearest Stations: Acton Town (Underground, District and Piccadilly Lines, 5 minutes walk to ground) or South Acton (Network Rail, Silverlink North London Line - 18 minutes from West Hampstead/34 minutes from Highbury & Islington/49 minutes from Stratford - 15 minutes walk to ground).
